Knysna Loerie

The Knysna Loerie is one of our most precious treasures of the Garden Route and you are so lucky to see them. They are very shy and what a delight to see them when they take the air.... !!!

Beneath their wings you will see the reddest reds displayed. The one on the photo is feasting on the fruit of the wild Fig tree. This photo was taken in the Wilderness National Park , only 3 km from Rinkink.
